“With the world changing around us providing more stimulation and our advances in technology allowing us to be so much more efficient in our daily activities, the demands on our bodies are changing. I am seeing children in clinic daily, who were growing up in this world, not knowing any different – highly stimulated, with limited general activity, but potentially some intense sporting activities in their schedule. The risks of injury and poor sleep hygiene are inevitable. This course was created based on rehabilitation Pilates experience to allow a positive opportunity for physical recreation for children and young people. Children need to learn to understand and love their bodies, but also learn how to manage and support them as they grow. I couldn’t be more passionate about getting and maintaining children and young people moving. Making this fun and engaging, with some important techniques to prevent injury in those participating in high volumes of sport is such an exciting opportunity!”
